Community Well-being

I work with a number of not-for-profit organisations, charities, London Councils and local schools delivering a range of well-being sessions across North and North-West London.

The sessions are educational, enabling participants to become familiar with their nervous systems and the impact of stress, anxiety and trauma on the body, in order to make better informed lifestyle choices. As part of the process participants leave with a toolkit of practices that they can use in all areas of their life.

I currently run regular free weekly mindfulness and meditation classes for Brent residents in Cricklewood, London. The sessions provide a safe space for local residents to learn and practice techniques to manage stress, anxiety, addiction and health issues. I supplement traditional methods through providing a holistic approach to participant’s well-being. 

Holistic practices covered include: breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, Trauma & Tension release exercises (TRE), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

Participants also get to experience body practices such as Yoga, Pilates and Sound Baths.

I am currently partnering the The Maze Organisation CIO (www.mazeorg.com) and Higher Potential CIO (www.higherpotential.org.uk) to deliver these sessions.

What participants say about the sessions:

I now practice breathing daily, including when I am walking and I now calmly approach difficult situations with the use of my breath.

Attending the meditation sessions has helped me improve my own practice at home.

The reiki with sound bath has simply been rejuvenating.

Through the TRE sessions I really feel like I have started to deal with feelings associated with childhood trauma – I need more sessions!

Being able to incorporate the modalities on a daily basis has been so beneficial to me and my well-being – I now practice mediation and breathwork regularly, as I did not before.

 
Join me fortnightly in North Finchley for my Woman’s Well-being circle – Wisdom of the Circle.
 
Each week we create space to share, learn and practice a number of holistic practices to:
 
• Create space for ourselves 
• Meet likeminded women in our community
• Learn tools to regulate our nervous system
• Understand the importance of self-care
• Nourish our body, mind and spirit
 
£15 a session (£10 when you book a block of 4). Includes copious amounts of hot tea throughout the session.
